Exact calculation

How many weeks have I lived?

A week is an everyday unit that is easy to imagine. Turning your life into weeks can therefore feel more intuitive than seeing it only in years.

The main calculations run in your browser. You do not need to create an account to explore.

From real days to weeks

First, the real days elapsed between the birth date and the current date are calculated. From that total, complete weeks and any remaining days can be derived.

The calculation does not assume that every year has exactly 52 weeks: it starts from the real calendar, including leap years.

Complete weeks versus an approximation

Saying “age times 52” is only an approximation. To obtain complete calendar weeks, you need to start from the exact number of days and divide by seven.

Vivímetro tries to keep that difference visible: when a number comes directly from the calendar it is treated as a calculation; when it needs assumptions it is labeled as an estimate.

A useful scale for seeing life stages

Weeks can make periods of study, parenting, work, travel or projects easier to visualize. They also show how small routines repeated for years can occupy a substantial amount of time.

The visualization is a perspective tool, not a countdown and not a prediction of how much time you have left.

Frequently asked questions

The important part, without mixing concepts

Does a year contain exactly 52 weeks?

No. A common year has 365 days and a leap year 366, so both contain 52 weeks plus additional days.

Is the number of weeks I have left exact?

No. Any future projection depends on statistical assumptions. Weeks already lived can be calculated; future weeks can only be estimated.
